    In New Braunfels, our properties include the world famous Gruene Hall, Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar, Cantina del Rio, Mozie’s, Cotton Eyed Joe’s, The Company Store, and The Grapevine. We also operate and oversee the Gruene Historic District brand. In San Antonio, we own and operate Josephine Street and Down on Grayson. We also plan and execute annual events like the Gruene Music and Wine Festival and Holidays in Gruene.

    The Role

    Director of Marketing

    Molak Corp. is looking for an experienced marketer to oversee all marketing operations of the company’s restaurant and entertainment business units including the Gruene Historic District. Responsibilities include leading the existing marketing team and refining our marketing strategy, planning, and execution. The position will be based at our Gruene, Texas headquarters and will report directly to the CEO.

    We are looking for candidates who can drive revenue and have strong management, planning, and analytical skills. Previous experience within the restaurant, hospitality, entertainment, music, western, or outdoor business will be a major consideration. The ideal candidate will be a player-coach with a proven track record of delivering measurable results. We will want to see some examples of your work and how they might translate to our success. To be clear, this is a hands-on position.

    What you will do

    Lead and manage the in-house marketing team and external partners.

    Collaborate with the Director of Retail and Brand Management to coordinate shared staff, timelines, and maintain Molak brand standards and voice across the enterprise.

    Developing and implementing marketing strategies for our brands.

    Drive customer count and revenue for each of our six restaurant brands.

    Drive attendance and revenue for Gruene Hall and special annual events.

    Set marketing strategies and tactics to support overall business goals and objectives.

    Develop annual marketing plans for each brand.

    Ability to roll with ever changing priorities and work within tight deadlines if needed.

    Oversee content creation.

    Establish marketing KPI performance forecasts.

    Use digital channels, tools, and data analytics to attract new growth.

    Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to help inform decisions.

    Understand the customer journey for food, beverage, and entertainment as it relates individually to each operation.

    Analyze key competitors to maximize our relevance and differentiation.

    Plan, direct and coordinate marketing budgets in accordance with company goals.

    Listen to the trends of the market and direct the market research efforts.

    What you bring

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or related field.

    Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in consumer marketing in the restaurant, hospitality, entertainment, music, western, outdoor, or related industry.

    Must have been responsible for producing revenue at some point in your career.

    A valid driver’s license.

    Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.

    Possess strong interpersonal skills including listening, adaptability, time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.

    Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at presenting to groups of various sizes.

    Ability to foresee and prevent project roadblocks.

    Experience with creative process.

    Experience with digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, and social media.

    Experience with media planning, buying, and evaluation.

    Experience with analytics and measurement of marketing.

    Scenario planning for seasonal business variations.

    Demonstrated aptitude for statistical and detail-oriented work.

    Skill in organizing workflow and balancing projects and budgets.

    Working knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), CRM and analytics.

    Strong business orientation and understanding.
