Mold/IAQ Inspector - Technical Sales
Green Home Solutions of the Twin Cities | Blaine, MN Full-Time | Base + Uncapped Commission | $20-$25/hour base, DOE, plus commission
Green Home Solutions is the only national company built specifically around indoor air quality and mold remediation, locally owned and operated in the Twin Cities. We've also expanded into full water and fire restoration, giving you a broader range of work and a wider set of skills to build than a typical mold-only inspector role. We use proprietary, EPA Safer Choice certified products you won't find anywhere else, backed by industry-leading training most companies can't match. We're looking for an experienced Inspector who's ready to combine technical assessment skills with a consultative sales approach and get paid well for it.
This is a technical sales role. You'll inspect homes, diagnose mold and air quality issues, explain your findings to homeowners, and close the job. If you have a background in restoration (fire, water, mold, or related fields), home inspection, or IAQ, and you'd rather be building client relationships than sitting behind a desk, this is your next move.
Why You'll Want This Job
Work for the only national company solely focused on indoor air quality and mold. Not a side offering buried in a bigger restoration business
Full water and fire restoration capabilities in-house, giving you broader project variety and growth opportunities
Access to proprietary products and equipment you won't find at competitors
Industry-leading, hands-on training that sets you up to be the expert in your market
Base pay plus uncapped commission. Top performers earn significantly more than a typical inspector salary
401(k) with 4% company match
Paid holidays and sick leave
No weekends, no evenings. A real schedule
Mileage reimbursement for company travel
A clear path to increase your earnings if you're already an experienced inspector
Willing to train the right candidate. We provide structured training resources and hands-on/OJT support to get you up to speed
What You'll Do
Conduct home inspections for mold and indoor air quality issues
Evaluate mold investigations and identify potential risks
Write clear, professional inspection reports that explain findings and next steps
Build job quotes and walk clients through recommended solutions
Manage the full sales cycle, from initial client conversation to closed job, and meet assigned sales targets
Maintain accurate records in our CRM
Deliver a client experience that earns trust and repeat referrals
What You Bring
2+ years performing home inspections, mold inspections, or fire/water/restoration inspections. Will train the right candidate with strong related experience
Experience with fire, water, or other restoration inspections is highly valued
CRIE certification preferred; other IAQ certifications considered
Strong report writing and data interpretation skills
Working knowledge of construction and building science
Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline: following up promptly, asking the right questions, and handling objections professionally
Excellent interpersonal skills. You build rapport easily with clients and teammates alike
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a variable daily schedule
A valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Ability to lift 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
Professional appearance and a positive, self-motivated attitude
