    Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

    Advanced Electrical & Motor Controls is a leader in providing power distribution products and services, serving commercial, industrial, municipal, and utility customers for more than 20 years. Advanced Electrical & Motor Controls has a large inventory of new, surplus, and reconditioned circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control, transformers, and other power apparatus, along with hundreds of thousands of replacement parts. Our shop services include evaluating, repairing, upgrading, reconditioning, and re-manufacturing electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. We are looking for a motivated mechanic or technician to become a Molded Case Circuit Breaker Technician.

    Experience:

    • 1 – 2 years industrial electrical manufacturing or mechanical work.

    • Must have mechanical aptitude. Mechanical technician, Auto mechanics, Transmission mechanics, Maintenance technicians, typically excel in this role.

    • Understanding of basic troubleshooting and the ability to use analytical thinking.

    • Use of basic tools, screw drivers, wrenches, drills, tapping holes, etc.

    • Techs are required to have their own tool kit.

    Responsibilities and Authorities:

    • Responsible for personal safety and employing safe work practices.

    • Assists Level 2 & 3 technicians with: Basic measurements, Test equipment and setup, Basic maintenance and cleaning, Pulling and providing parts and assisting with kitting larger manufacturing jobs, working in apprentice role learning skills to work independently.

    • Once trained will be able to perform assembly, wiring, and testing of Low Voltage Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB) and the ability to troubleshoot & repair MCCB component parts.

    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    • NETA Certified Assistant Technician a plus.
