Program Director/ Must has Experience in Adult Day Health Center

A. Qualifications:

1. Must have both of the following:

a. One of the following backgrounds:

i. A person with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience in a management, supervisory or administrative position.

ii. A person with a master’s degree and a minimum of one year of experience in a management, supervisory or administrative position; or

iii. A registered nurse with a minimum of two years’ experience in a management supervisory or administrative position.

b. Appropriate skills, knowledge and abilities related to the health and mental, cognitive and social needs of the participant group being served by the ADHC/CBAS.

2. The program director is knowledgeable of the laws, regulations, CBAS certification standards, standards of participation and policies and procedures with a licensed health facility.

3. The program director will provide the center with a health examination, signed by the physician, and a TB clearance, which is not more than 12 months prior to employment or within 7 days of employment and shall provide the center a current certificate of CPR and First Aid training or shall complete training with six-months of employment.

B. Duties

The duties of the program director include:

1. Developing the program in accordance with the needs of the participants served.

2. Ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, certification standards and standards of participation.

3. Implementing and coordination the elements of the program assigned by the Administrator.

4. Continuously evaluating the participants changing needs and making necessary recommendations for program adjustments.

5. Supervising employees, contract staff, and volunteers.

6. Ensuring required in-service training is provided.

7. Serving as a member of the Utilization Review Committee

8. Overseeing and approving the final copy of Individual Plans of Care prior to being sent to the Medi-Cal Managed Care Organizations.

9. Services as chair of MDT meetings.

10. Serves as the center’s compliance officer in regard to non-discrimination policies.

11. Responsible for ensuing Person-Centered Planning regulations are implemented in the center.

12. The program director is on duty full-time during the hours the center is providing required services, with availability to participants, their relatives and employees.

13. The program director has no other duties than those related to the adult day health care center.

14. The program director reports to the center’s administrator.

M 8-3:30pm, T 8-3:30pm W 8-3:30, Th 8-3:30 F 9-3pm

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Minimum 30 hrs. per week.
