    Job Description

    We are seeking a Commercial Insurance Account Executive to become a part of our organization! You are responsible for qualifying prospective clients based upon their appropriate insurance needs. Once qualified you will prepare applications, process submissions to markets, review quotations and carrier documents, receipt payments, request binding of coverage, check policies upon issuance and forward copies to the customer. The Account Executive will report directly to the Operations Manager. While this position is currently remote, under normal circumstances, this role will be reporting on-site.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to prospects and clients.
    • Processing credit cards and following up with declined NSF payment.
    • Receive payments from applicants by check or credit card; sending a copy of the system automated receipt to the applicant and attaching a copy of the receipt to the policy in the Agency Management System (AMS).
    • Check issued policies for errors or omissions by comparing the policy against the application submitted to ensure that the policy terms and conditions applied for are in fact the same as those issued by the insurance carrier.
    • Send issued policies to the clients.
    • Process request changes to policies via the computer system.
    • Prepare Certificates of Insurance and forward to the client or certificate holder.
    • Answer client questions via email or telephone to ensure a positive customer service experience.
    • Ask for additional lines of business within an account.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); AA preferred
    • 2 year minimum of related experience and/or training in Commercial Insurance Services
    • Current California Property and Casualty Agent License required
    • Experience working in a call-center environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Zoom, and an aptitude to navigate software easily
    • Deadline and detail-oriented; efficient multitasker
