    MOMENTUM is launching a new service providing truly accessible restrooms to public event venues in Los Angeles!  For many people with disabilities, finding a restroom with an adult changing table, hoist for easy transfer, and enough room to comfortably fit them and their care provider(s) is almost impossible. As a result, many limit the time they spend in public spaces to just a few hours. 

    As a Community Ambassador Driver, you will be on the front lines of this life-changing movement to increase community accessibility for everyone!  In addition to driving and setting-up the mobile restroom to exciting events around Los Angeles, you will also be the face of our organization, informing the public of the importance of these restrooms in public spaces, and supporting people and their care provider(s) by providing a clean, safe, and dignified restroom option.  

    RATE OF PAY: $18.00 PER HOUR

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment 
    • Respects and promotes the right of individuals 
    • Prepare, drive, and set up vehicle
    • Connect with community on the importance of truly accessible restrooms
    • Ensure vehicle is clean and fully stocked throughout the event
    • Operate wheelchair lift to ensure safe entry/exit from vehicle
    • Inform users on use of various products within vehicle
    • Gather customer requests and feedback
    • Pack up, clean, and return vehicle so it is ready for next event
    • Follows and implements company policies 
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs

    COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be 21 years of age
    • Valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California and proof of insurance; required
    • Clean driving record (must consent to Employer Pull Notice with DMV); required 
    • High School Diploma or equivalent; required
    • Safe driver, punctual, outgoing, and reliable
    • Strong communicator and comfortable talking with groups
    • Experience supporting persons with disabilities; preferred 
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish; preferred
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
    • Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
    • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
    • Experience driving and maintaining motorhome/RV/trailers; preferred
