Role Overview: As a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for the user and ensuring their needs are at the heart of our design and product decisions. Leveraging your experience in UX research, you will lead and execute qualitative and quantitative research initiatives while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in Product, UX Design, Analytics, Marketing, and Engineering. Your compelling storytelling skills will be crucial to influencing strategic decisions and inspiring design improvements. Your passion for emerging technologies, particularly AI, and your understanding of financial services will be valuable assets as we innovate in our industry.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end user research activities, including planning, recruiting, moderating sessions, analyzing data, and presenting actionable insights.
• Design and conduct in-depth user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and other research methods to uncover user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to translate research findings into actionable recommendations that drive product enhancements.
• Champion a user-centered approach throughout the product development lifecycle, advocating for user needs and promoting empathy within the team.
• Develop and maintain research plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Craft persuasive and impactful research reports and presentations that communicate insights, opportunities, and recommendations clearly and effectively.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to inform research methodologies and recommendations.
• Contribute your financial services knowledge to provide deeper context to research findings and recommendations, ensuring our products align with industry norms and regulations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in user experience research, preferably within a technology or financial services context.
• Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Engineering, and Marketing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and persuasive storytelling style.
• Expertise in tools like Figma, UserTesting, UserZoom, Optimal Workshop, and Enjoy HQ
• Understanding of emerging technologies, particularly AI, and a keen interest in staying updated with industry advancements.
• Familiarity with financial services, banking, or fintech landscapes is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• A portfolio showcasing impactful research contributions and outcomes.
