    WORK SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY (7 AM - 3:30 PM OR  8 AM - 4:30 PM) 

    TITLE:  PROGRAM SUPERVISOR: APPLIED ABILITIES

    _Immediate Supervisor:       _ Program Director     

    _Supervision Exercised:      _ Job Coaches

    SUMMARY:

    Under the supervision of the Director of Applied Abilities, this position is responsible for the overall management and oversight of activities in the Applied Abilities Program.  In fulfilling Program Supervisor duties, this position will require the Program Supervisor to interact with staff, caregivers, Tri-Counties Regional Center (TCRC), Community Care Licensing, customers and community members.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    ·         Assists in the oversight of the development and implementation of services designed to meet the needs of individuals being served by Applied Abilities

    ·         In cooperation with the Program Director, supervise all program staff and arrange for regular staff meetings

    ·         Responsible for assisting in the recruitment, selection and training of program staff

    ·         Assists in conducting new employee program orientation & training

    ·         Attends meetings with the people we serve, Job Coach and agency meetings (as needed/requested).

    ·         Assists in meeting the regulations in alignment with R&D and TCRC audits

    ·         Assist with the supervision of activities and group outings as needed; direct support as necessary

    ·         Use crisis intervention techniques in emergency situations when people are in danger of injuring themselves or others

    ·         Assist in conducting Employee Communication Reports and performance evaluations (as needed)

    ·         Collects and oversees ID notes generated from staff

    ·         Attends Agency meetings and in-service trainings as required

    ·         Complies with all UCP WORK, Inc. policies and procedures

    ·         Create daily activity schedules and organizes work crews served in the program

    ·         Schedules program participant meetings

    ·         Ensures daily compliance with established guidelines and procedures and report deficiencies to the appropriate party

    ·         Conducts program quality assurance checklists

    ·         Schedules program transportation as needed

    ·         Complies with all UCP/WORK, Inc. and CCL policies and procedures.

    ·         Other related duties on an as needed basis

     

     

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    ·         Ability to stand, sit for long periods of time

    ·         Ability to speak, read, hear and understand technical written materials

    ·         Lifting may be required; may exceed 25 lbs.

    ·         Ability to bend, lift and carry

    ·         Full awareness of environmental stimuli

    ·         Ability to implement Crisis Management, Safety & ProACT techniques

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·         High School degree required

    ·         Two (2) years’ experience working directly with individuals who are disabled, in group and individual situations

    ·         Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality regarding individuals we serve and other related information

    ·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    ·         Ability to complete tasks with numerous interruptions

    ·         Ability to work with minimal direct supervision

    ·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office (esp. Word, Excel, Outlook), and other technology as needed (i.e. smart phone, etc.)

    ·         Compassion and respect for persons with disabilities

    ·         Will need to be available during any disasters, per disaster plan

    ·         Valid CA Driver’s License (plus a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier)

    ·         Valid certification in CPR/1st Aid (Training available)
