Our client, a global leader in the gaming and hospitality industry, is seeking a Senior SOX Compliance Analyst to join their team. This is a newly created role and is fully REMOTE. The Senior SOX Compliance Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting the enterprise-wide Internal Controls. This position also requires working with all control stakeholders across properties and operations, shared services and internal auditors and external auditors. Work in a team-oriented, project driven environment with business unit leaders to improve the internal controls environment. In addition, may assist with other related compliance activities. This is an exciting opportunity, providing exposure to all operational departments and involvement in special projects, system implementations, etc. The client is seeking a self-motivated, dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a group.

 Responsibilities:

•  Maintaining the most accurate and up to date entity and business-unit level controls across all segments.
• Partnering with business units on other SOX 404 related efforts, such as documentation (including narratives, flowcharts) of in-scope processes, identification of key controls, and developing remediation processes for control deficiencies
• Assisting with the implementation of SOX 404 software including uploading required control documentation, running reports, and monitoring business units’ quarterly certification
• Assisting the Sr. Manager, Corporate Accounting with managing and ensuring the team’s SOX deliverables are met
• Assisting in remediating audit findings and process deficiencies with a mindset to design effective/automated processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum experience of two years in auditing – internal audit for a publicly-traded company or externally auditing public companies
• Experience with Sarbanes Oxley and risk assessments highly preferred
• Basic understanding of internal controls and control environments
• Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build business relationships
• Ability to work in a highly organized and efficient manner, and a driver that can take projects to completion in a timely manner
