We’re searching for a detail-oriented, imaginative CAD designer to serve as a drafter for our architecture and interior design company! Your job responsibilities will include meeting with the client and/or lead designer to understand the ideal finished product and generating 2D designs using AutoCAD to bring those dreams to life. You’ll also revise designs based on client feedback and clearly communicate updates about the team’s design process. Responsibilities: Utilize computer software to generate 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the project specifications Keep superintendents and project managers up-to-date on the progress of the design and let them know when designs are complete Work with construction team members to establish a timeline and budget for the design Attend preliminary meetings with the client to understand the project specifications and scope Revise designs according to feedback from clients and construction managers Qualifications: Be informed about the latest trends in design software and have a good understanding of the architectural design industry as a whole Stellar attention to detail, teamwork abilities, communication skills, and organizational skills Extensive knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion • Proficient in AutoCAD • Minimum 4 years of work experience in architectural residential design • Must be proficient in drawing tile and cabinetry elevations Compensation: $23 - $27.50 hourly
