    Job Description

    GENERAL FUNCTION

    The Retail Marketing Coordinator is the primary day to day relationship owner between Marketing and Retail Operations Management Team (Regional Directors of Operations, District Managers and Branch Managers), as well as other key internal and external partners.

    The person will help drive execution across of wide array of marketing activities including print and media advertising, radio, out of home, direct marketing, point of purchase material, event planning, promotional signage, and sales initiatives which supports our retail sales objectives. They will assist with community events, grand openings, and special events.  Additionally, the position will be responsible for administrative support of the marketing department including managing expenses, purchase orders, inventory levels of marketing materials and giveaways, and tracking of POP orders.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the end-to-end execution of all retail marketing activity
    • Manage expectations of internal stakeholders and ensure timely execution of marketing initiatives
    • In conjunction with the Marketing Manager assist in marketing collateral trafficking procedures (Compliance, Legal, SLT, and product partners)
    • Maintain regular and on going contact with company communication partners to ensure marketing driven programs and campaigns are accurately shared across the organization.  
    • In conjunction with the Marketing Manager, coordinate and provide direction to external partners including graphic designers, printers, and promotional partners to effectively execute projects.

    EDUCATION

    • Post-secondary education in Marketing and/or Communication, or at least 2-3 years of related work experience Marketing/Business preferred

     

    EXPERIENCE

    • 2-3 years’ experience operating within a retail marketing environment

     

    SKILLS

    • Must be highly efficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
    • Must demonstrate a high degree of expense awareness and control.
    • Self-starter with high level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
    • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships among all cross-functional groups.
    • Ability to build relationships with outside vendors.
    • Must display a high degree of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
    • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
    • Flexibility to frequent changes and ability to react quickly.
    • Ability to negotiate, mediate, solve problems and influence partners and team members
    • Strong communication skills across disciplines and the ability to articulate marketing principles based on industry best practice guidelines, personal experience and research
