    Your Role:

    The Carpenter will work with the General Contractor to deliver high quality projects and experience to our clients and project partners. The Carpenter will be responsible for performing trades, planning and layout of on-site work, supporting subcontractors, Communicating with the project management team, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment, while providing a high level of customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ability to read plans and specifications.
    • Perform site preparation and layout with the finished product in mind.
    • Detailed knowledge of residential framing: concrete forms, floor and wall systems; hand cut roof systems, wall assemblies, siding/cladding, windows, doors, and roofing.
    • Detailed understanding of all residential interior trim: Base, case, crown, wainscot, paneling, cabinetry (building and setting) and stair systems.
    • Maintain a clean, safe job site.
    • Ability to complete tasks alone – no direct supervision
    • Perform minor remodeling trades such as demo, flooring drywall, paint, tile as needed.
    • Thorough understanding of the order of operations throughout the construction process
    • Ability to educate/advise less experienced carpenters.
    • Displays excellent ethical and respectful standards.
    • Understands applicable codes that pertain to the task at hand.
    • Create and maintain schedule and ensure that work is done to MBC quality standards, original plans, specs, and meets all deadlines.
    • Teachable attitude geared toward always striving to build with best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Building Envelope and building science knowledgeable
    • 2 years minimum experience
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge and comfortability in digital platforms
    • Ability to transport self to site every day.
    • Perform physical labor, including lifting over 50lbs
