    Bill rate:$50-$55 per hour

    Job Summary:

    The Monitor Technician is responsible for continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors. This role ensures timely recognition and reporting of any cardiac rhythm changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff or physician, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care during the night/day shift.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Continuously monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms via telemetry equipment.

    Accurately identify and interpret arrhythmias and promptly notify nursing staff of any significant changes.

    Document rhythm strips per policy and maintain accurate telemetry records.

    Ensure proper electrode placement and signal quality; troubleshoot monitor and lead issues as needed.

    Assist in admitting and discharging patients from telemetry monitoring systems.

    Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA standards.

    Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members.

    Maintain a clean and organized monitoring station.

    Participate in continuing education and competency assessments related to cardiac monitoring.

    Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies, including safety and infection control standards.

    Qualifications:

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience: 1 year experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring preferred.

    Certification:

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (through AHA).

    Completion of an approved EKG/Telemetry interpretation course preferred.
