Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Monitor Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs and telemetry data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of any abnormalities to the nursing staff. This role is critical in providing high-quality patient care and requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Duties

• Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry readings to detect any changes in their condition.
• Document and report significant changes in patient status to the nursing staff promptly.
• Assist in the preparation of patients for diagnostic evaluations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of patient monitoring activities and ensure compliance with hospital protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
• Utilize aseptic techniques when handling equipment and during patient interactions.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, cardiology practices, and relevant technologies in telemetry monitoring.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly in roles related to lab work or radiology.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential for effective performance in this role.
• Familiarity with telemetry systems and cardiology concepts will be considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure are crucial for success as a Monitor Technician.
• EKG NHA Certificate
