Monkey Mind Escape Rooms & Portsmouth Team Building LLC Monkey Mind Escape Room is seeking enthusiastic, dynamic, and quick-learning individuals for the Game Master position in the hottest entertainment trend in the country! Our Game Masters are responsible for engaging our guests, facilitating the live-action escape room experience, and creating an unforgettable adventure for every team. Ideal candidates are fun and reliable with stellar interpersonal skills and have a passion for puzzles and entertainment. Game Masters are required to work at least 1 shift each weekend, as well as multiple shifts during high traffic weeks (e.g. Christmas/New Year, February Vacation, April Vacation, Peak Summer weeks, Thanksgiving weekend). Occasional weekday shifts are available if desired. Sample Job Duties: - Captivate guests by providing an enthusiastic and detailed mission briefing. - Energizing and Motivating Guests. Ensures every guest has a fun and friendly experience. - Actively focus on monitoring the guests and be prepared to assist them with clues when necessary. - Quickly and accurately reset the room after each group's 60-minute escape (or attempted escape). - Time Management. - General Cleaning. - Maintain communication with host/greeter, management, and guests to ensure that the reservations flow smoothly. - Occasionally repair props and/or technology to ensure games run correctly. - Monitor guests activity and engage via computer screen up to 1 hour without distraction. Candidate Qualifications: - Strong customer service instincts. - Attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills. Articulate. Public Speaking is mandatory. - Good grasp of technology. - Weekend availability, occasional weekday availability, occasional off-site availability. - Need to be able to lift up to 30 lbs., reach, squat, kneel, and climb a ladder. - Requires sitting for extended periods at a time. - Must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: - Acting or public speaking (Preferred) - Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
