    Job Description

    The Digital Marketing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist is responsible for the general maintenance and improvement of digital properties, including several websites, local landing pages, and Google Business Profile listings. Facilitates their ongoing optimization to meet guest retention and acquisition objectives for assigned Monro brands and geographic regions. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for the maintenance of Google Business Profile listings (i.e. Google my Business/GMB), including coordinating content for descriptions and posts
    • Evaluation and improvement of technical and on-page SEO for local landing pages, including coding as needed.  
    • Evaluation of on-page content for keyword optimization, copy length, and linking strategies 
    • Content management and publishing via WordPress, and in conjunction with vendors
    • Identifies opportunities for improvement, KPIs, and maintains SEO Calendar to coincide with corporate goals and marketing planning 
    • Collaborate internally and with vendors to implement necessary changes and features to digital properties
    • Prepares analytic evaluations and strategic reports 
    • Execute programs in a timely and effective manner to meet Monro’s financial goals. 
    • Stays current with industry trends and actively implements changes to Monro’s digital properties 
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY: 

    The Digital Marketing SEO Specialist is an individual contributor to the team and operates under the general direction of the Director, Digital Marketing #LI-CF1

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field with a minimum of 2 years direct responsibility for SEO outcomes and KPIs.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Strong knowledge of technical and on-page SEO, and best practices
    • Experience maintaining multiple GMB listings, citations, and social media
    • Familiarity with reputation and reviews management
    • Experience with site audits and technical SEO
    • Familiarity with advanced technical SEO topics (canonicalization, hreflangs, Schema, etc)
    • Understanding of HTML/CSS, familiarity with other coding languages is helpful
    • Understanding of digital experience best practices
    • Proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS system
    • Experience with Google tools such as Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager
    • Ability to communicate effectively with technology vendors 
    • Able to work collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization and team members
    • Self-Starter who is adaptable, organized, a team player, and can work independently managing multiple competing priorities
    • Strong proof-reading skills, experience with project management, and organizational best practices
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills 
    • Working knowledge of marketing strategies, concepts and practices

    WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines.
