    Montage is looking for a Social Media Specialist with a broad understanding of executing social media strategies, creating and sharing engaging content, analyzing and developing social media strategies, and driving results through effective implementation. Qualified candidates will have the experience and attention to detail needed to develop strategy and content across a variety of social media channels and shape campaigns for diverse clients and communities.

    About the Role

    **__**Serving on a broader team of experienced communications and marketing professionals, the Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing strategies and drafting content for government, private, and public sector clients. This role includes, but is not limited to, planning and executing social media strategies, creating and publishing content to a variety of platforms, and interacting with communities and audiences. This is a full-time, exempt position working at Montage's Bethesda, MD and McLean, VA offices. Anticipated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $72,000.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience writing and producing content for social media marketing channels, both organic and paid.
    • 2+ years of experience supporting and conducting research, interviewing, writing, and editing short and long-form content, including blog posts, and tailored social content.
    • Washington, DC metro area commuting distance required.
    • Expert knowledge of social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok and other emerging tools.
    • Understanding of social media key performance indicators (KPIs), web traffic metrics and SEO.
    • Experience working in Wordpress, CRMs (Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc.) and social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Loomly, etc.)
    • Avid interest in evolving and adapting to digital and social media trends, algorithm changes, and other factors that affect content performance.
    • Understanding and practice of basic SEO principles for developing content for web and social.
    • Strong editor with the ability to spot errors and deliver the highest levels of quality control.
    • Focus on results and attention to detail.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Demonstrated ability to write content and copy for a variety of social and digital channels, including blog posts, digital newsletter articles, content calendars, and social media posts. May be asked to support content writing in other areas.
    • Knowledge of connecting to influencers and the administration of follower polls and surveys.
    • Familiarity with digital marketing publishing and measurement tools, such as marketing automation, CRM, social scheduling and listening, website analytics.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategy Development – Contribute to communications and marketing strategies and project plans, bringing insight and recommendations specific to social channels.
      • Participate in brainstorming sessions and execute defined strategies.
      • Synthesize and execute a variety of tactics to encourage engagement on different channels
      • Evaluate and leverage accounts performance data to a desired effect.
      • Develop a plan of greater social media participation across the agency.
    • Content Creation – Write copy and advise on the design of content for an assortment of marketing and communications products, including social media posts, blog posts, webpages, emails, infographics, and more. Establish best practice guidelines for the use of the agency's online tools. * Source, monitor, analyze, and present social media and web data and making recommendations based on findings. * Build and implement editorial calendars for multiple social and digital communications platforms.
    • Digital Delivery – Produce and provide quality checks on digital communications, including accompanying visuals where appropriate, in applicable platforms (Wordpress, SharpSpring, Loomly, Canva, etc.)
      • Optimize social media accounts.
    • Relationship Management – Establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels of leadership and with clients.
