    This position will be posted until filled. Applications will be reviewed the week of May 20th General Statement of Duties:

    This position is responsible for providing customer service to the public and representing MRD in all aspects. As the Customer Service Representative, you will serve as MRD’s receptionist. Hours may vary between 20-25 hours per week.

    Supervision Received: This position reports directly to the Lead Customer Services Rep.

    Essential Duties: The following are examples of primary duties assigned to this position. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

    Serves as the MRD receptionist by answering/screening phone calls, helping/screening walk-in visitors, and referring visitors to appropriate MRD personnel.

    Greets and communicates with all patrons entering facility

    Ensures patrons check-in at the barcode scanner.

    Responsible for providing effective customer service both face-to-face and over the phone by answering front desk related questions and communications.

    Responsible for directing phone calls to appropriate departments

    Thorough knowledge of MRD’s activity guide, personnel, programs, services, facilities, and policies to answer questions.

    Processes memberships and assists program participants in registering in programs

    Monitors and ensures CRC pass membership records are accurate and up to date, processes membership renewals, maintains various data files, and perform record keeping functions.

    Issue and maintain locker rentals and oversees the Game Room check-outs and returns.

    Responsible for end of shift cash balancing of their drawer.

    Processes daily receipts, prepare daily receipts for deposit, and ensures their accuracy for Accounting.

    Report potential clerical, IT issues, or customer service problems to the Lead Customer Service Rep.

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    Must be at least 16 Years old and up

    Must be able to multitask, good rapport with customers and enjoy a fast paced environment. Bilingual is a plus.

    Must be able to perform basic data entry in to MRD systems

    Prior experience with the general public (customers) a plus; prior experience as a cashier a plus

    Ability to accurately serve as a cashier, including processing credit cards, making change, and other basic math skills

    Good oral/written communication skills

    Excellent customer relationship skills

    Excellent organization skills

    Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence

    Work Environment: Extensive public contact. Schedule may include a variety of shifts including seasonal variations, evening, weekend, and some holiday hours.

    Physical Conditions: Primary functions may require walking, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time. This position may require some moderate lifting and working primarily indoors.
