Job Description

We are seeking a Paralegal for a Litigation Defense Firm. We are a 14 attorney firm with several paralegals, with a need for additional help/support. Our primary work is in the Workers' Compensation area, but we also do Civil Defense claims as well. We are looking for a paralegal who can work in one or both areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct research to support legal proceedings;
• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents;
• Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes;
• Monitor and ensure compliance with state regulations; and
• Helping manage the litigation docket for multiple attorneys.

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School degree;
• Prior experience as a paralegal or other legal field is preferred;
• Ability to prioritize and multitask;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
• Deadline and detail-oriented, with ability to calendar and keep track of work tasks.

We are a 14 attorney firm with about 25 total people working just off of the highway in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. We are looking for someone who would be working in office with us, helping support attorneys who engage in litigation. Our work is primarily in the field of Workers' Compensation Law, though we also do Civil Litigation Defense work as well. The firm has been in existence since the 1960s.
