Have you ever played a video game and thought about ways you could make it better? What about designing a game from conception to launch? Well, here's an opportunity to do just that!

Moonrise is currently sourcing for an efficient and skilled Video Game Developer courtesy of one of our expanding clients local to the Chicago Loop area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of full-cycle game design. In this role, you will be responsible for creating future generation games, troubleshooting design issues, and identifying/fixing bugs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with design team to review potential game concepts

• Translate basic and complex design ideas into functional game code

• Develop game designs, scripts, and storyboards

• Create the code for the base engine of the game

• Partner with other developers/designers to create the audio and animation design

• Develop levels, milestones, checkpoints, and achievements

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience with full-cycle game design

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and/or equivalent experience

• Full-stack experience, strongly preferred

• Exceptional programming skills with C/C++

• Proficient with 3D modeling software
