Job Description

Acts as the customer-facing ambassador of the brand and company, interacting with and assisting customers in a timely, professional manner. Keeps the shop clean, orderly, and stocked while working independently and as part of a team to reach individual and store goals. Expertly trained in all products and how to anticipate customer needs. This position is the beginning of a career at Moonstruck Chocolate Co.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  •    Interacts with customers in a professional manner, addressing questions and suggesting products as necessary •    Maintains cleanliness of café to Moonstruck standards •    Rapidly and precisely runs orders through POS •    Make drinks to order •    Assist customers with selecting products and build custom boxes to order •    Develop a deep understanding of the company, brand, products, and offerings •    Sales training with sales trainer to learn upselling techniques and customer service  

Qualifications

•    Previous barista and FoH/customer service experience a plus •    Exceptional sales skills in a guest service environment •    Knowledge of artisan chocolate a plus, passion for artisan chocolate a must! •    Multnomah Food Handlers Permit must be acquired within 10 days of employment •    OLCC Server certification (at all locations)  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  •    Job requires standing for extended periods of time (4+ hours) •    Stooping, bending, and lifting up to 25lbs on occasion

PAY RATE: $12.50 an hour, full time or part time, non-exempt position
