    Our law group is growing and we are looking for a sharp family law attorney who will zealously represent our clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Responsibilities: • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings • Manage adoption, legal guardianship, and limited conservatorship caseload Qualifications: • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 5-10 years; handling of real estate also required • Excellent organization, research, and writing skills Compensation: $115,000 yearly to start
