    CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

    POSITION STATUS: Full Time

    REPORTS TO: Sr. Director, Operations and Supply Chain – US & Canada

    DIRECT REPORTS: None

    ROLE OBJECTIVES: The Planner, Operations will help to manage the planning of inventory for the Canadian business, both import and domestic. This will also include the day-to-day management of the operations at our Canada 3PL and all that goes into the movement of our inventory and shipping of domestic orders. This role will be highly involved in the forecasting, planning, reporting, and execution of plans for the business. Admin responsibilities would also include assisting in account setups, quoting, EDI setup, samples, and much more.

    APPLYING EXPERTISE AND TECHNICAL CAPABILITY

    • A strong understanding supply chain, 3PL, Forecasting, order processing, inventory management, ocean/local transportation

    • Proficient in Excel

    • Working knowledge of JDE preferred, but not essential

    • A demonstrated ability to assimilate into a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture.

    • Previous experience working in the toy industry preferred, but not essential

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
    • Experience working in the consumer products industry
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Experience with Oracle, Demantra preferred, but not essential

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Manage FGMA (Finished goods material allowance) process with Moose Far East Merch Team - tracking balances and orders in our systems
    • As required, manage all image, and mock up requirements for all customers
    • Coordinating with the CDA Director / Planner - Managing and maintaining CDA Inventory balance in Asia and communicating with the org as necessary
    • Managing and collating export Duties/tariffs, in collaboration with our customs brokers and internal product management team – Canadian market
    • Managing customer set ups with Moose Far East Merch Team and US Finance Team – to ensure all info is in hand pre order placement
    • Constant review and improvement of process with Moose Far East to support the Canada market to success
    • Collating Planogram samples seasonally for all Canadian Retailers
    • Collating PO’s (vetting) – with external Sales team and working back with Moose Far East Merch Team to finalize
    • Working in our internal ERP to release inventory orders as needed for the Canada domestic business
    • Inventory management – balances between system and 3PL match at all times- helping to create and manage audit process to ensure accuracy
    • Transportation/logistics/containers/forwarder management
    • Providing weekly inventory reports to the team, as well as order chase reports to sales and any ad hoc reporting as needed on a consistent basis
    • 3PL day to day management
    • Domestic order tracking
    • Assist with data management for Canadian business- pricing, item lists, etc.
    • Item linking management within our ERP
    • Management of domestic allocation report, which provided the team with a full scope of inventory on-hand, on-order, forecasts, orders, as well as balances over time
    • Involvement in the S&OP process- helping to manage flow/communication of forecasts, material releases, domestic inventory needs, inventory position, etc.
