    Job Description

    Contract Support Specialist duties include exercising independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project. Familiarity with the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX)/Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), procedures covering the project related duties and proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform those duties.

    Knowledge and Skills/Abilities:

    • Organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
    • Minimum of two (2) years of road and bridge construction engineering inspection (CEI) experience having performed/assisted in project related duties (i.e., Material Acceptance and Certification (MAC) System, Progress and Final Estimates, EEO Compliance, and Processing Construction Contract Changes, etc.
    • Able to exhibit a professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues and clients

    Certifications:

    • CTQP Final Estimates Level II (Must be able to obtain within 60 days of start date)
    • Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) Construction Training Qualification Program Certifications a plus

    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

    Responsibilities include:

    • Observes, documents and verifies construction conforms to Contract plans and specifications
    • Handling, tracking and updating incident claims (third party claims)
    • Preparing and processing monthly progress payments
    • Estimating cost for contract changes
    • Preparing, and processing Supplemental Agreements and Work Orders
    • Updating/uploading documents into Project Solve
    • Tracking and updating release for construction plans and as-builts
    • Tracking material certifications and verifying complete and timely inputs into MAC
