    Family-owned Morgan Murphy Media is actively looking for its next Chief Engineer to oversee the Engineering and Information Technology Departments of its flagship property – the award-winning WISC-TV – located in the very desirable DMA #81, Madison, Wisconsin.  Become one of only a handful of Chief Engineers to hold this post since the station signed on in 1956.  The position also includes technical oversight and management of the related properties in Madison including the locally produced digital subchannel, TVW; the region's largest television website, Channel3000.com; award-winning Madison Magazine; and Phase 3 Digital – a local digital agency.

    The Chief Engineer plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations taking responsibility for equipment procurement and operation, facility maintenance, and installation across all departments and properties.  Extensive knowledge of microwave and transmitter systems, studio, building, information systems, and FCC regulatory rules and compliance are essential to this role.

    As a member of the station's senior management team, the ideal candidate must possess excellent written and communication skills, be highly self-motivated and command strong leadership skills that inspire the engineering team to higher levels of technical strategy and implementation internally and externally.

    Candidate must have at least five years of engineering management experience and who is looking to move to the next level in their career.  A college degree and Society of Broadcast Engineering certification are preferred.   Good color vision and hearing and safe driving record are required.
