Morgan Rockwood Properties is a boutique Houston based private lending firm.  The primary investors are two 25-year seasoned mortgage veterans.  As a Texas based company, we’ve been in business for more than 15 years.  In a 25 year span the ownership has originated more than $10 billion in real estate secured loans. EXPERIENCE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Our goal is to work passionately to grow at a controlled pace making the following loan types:  non owner occupied with a hyper focus on underwriting appraisals and credit reports.  These loans include commercial purpose land, single family, multifamily and shopping centers.  This is a ground level opportunity with very small company. This position will report directly to the two owners.

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

Morgan Rockwood is seeking a hard-working entrepreneurial, dedicated Loan Originator / Loan Officer to join our innovative and passionate team at the absolute ground level.  Work from home options are available. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Market lead sources to cultivate new business – realtors, builders, remodelers, CPA’s, attorneys, etc.

• Field and convert existing lead generation sources

• Work social media, Google key word search and other internet sources to generate new business

• Work closely with loan support to ensure a timely and accurate experience for our borrowers

• Scheduling and tracking of closing dates

• Communicating with title & insurance agents and borrowers

• Heavy marketing with full understanding of CRM and Social Media

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have 2 years of loan origination or loan officer assistant experience (with private lending experience a plus)

• Excellent disposition, mindset, communication skills and work ethic

• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines

• Strong listening, problem solving skills and out of box thinking

• Desire to learn and grow with a growing company

• College degree a plus
