Job Title: Seasonal Social Media Internship

Reports To: Camp Program Director and Chief Marketing Officer
Position Summary:
Morgan's Wonderland Camp is looking for an energetic, outgoing, hard-working marketing intern with a passion for helping individuals with special needs. The person should be a self-starter with strong interests in writing, social media, and community. The marketing intern will assist the department and Camp staff in promotional efforts.
Under the direction of the Morgan's Wonderland Camp Program Director, and Morgan's Inclusion Initiative Chief Marketing Officer, the Seasonal Social Media Intern plays a vital role in the success of Morgan's Wonderland Camp ("MWC"). This position will focus on the development and implementation of high quality social media content that creates meaningful and lasting impressions for our campers, guests, staff, and volunteers in partnership with Morgan's Inclusion Initiative. Additionally, this position will assist in the facilitation of MWC programming areas. As a member of the program team, this role is responsible for ensuring our camp program reflects and furthers the mission and values of Morgan's Wonderland Camp and Morgan's Inclusion Initiative.
Responsibilities:
• Give insight on what works across Social/Digital spaces, as it changes daily.
• Collaborate with the MII marketing team to develop a relevant and fun content calendar that brings value
to our audiences and delivers our brand objectives.
• Create and analyze social media and digital marketing campaigns for Morgan's Wonderland Camp.
• Provide graphic support to the marketing team.
• Assist in newsletter content, take quality, aesthetic photos and videos and interact with guests.
• Provide a phenomenal camp experience for all campers, guests, staff, and volunteers.
• Document camp, activities, guests, staff, and events through photography and film.
• Create and develop social media posts on behalf of MWC.
• Maintain photo and film database.
• Lead programming activities for campers, counselors, and volunteers.
• Maintain programming areas.
• Ensure a safe camp environment is maintained at all times.
• Assist in the daily operations of all camp areas including, but not limited to, food service,
housekeeping, luggage handling, and camp store.
• Obtain necessary certifications (provided by MWC).
• Intern will complete 1 deliverable project and present to management at the end of the internship
period.
• Intern will work with MWC leadership to create and develop a mutually beneficial project that fits
any university requirements, the career development needs and desires of the intern, as well as the
needs of the camp.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be in college
• Must possess high levels of self-motivation
• Ability to work effectively across departments, with members of the management team, volunteers, and
partner camps with confidence and professionalism.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to work as part of a team; maintain a positive attitude even under stress.
• Applicable experience working with special needs population
• Knowledge of marketing strategies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software in Adobe, Microsoft, Canva
and Google Docs.
• Ability to quickly learn and process information
• Organization and time management skills
Working Conditions:
• Physical Requirements –
o Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting upper body for long periods of time.
o Much physical effort required on a routine basis: the ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required. Will
be occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
o Frequent and at times, a high level of walking is required.
• Environmental Demands –
o The work environment is an outdoor camp environment with continuous outdoor activity
and exposure to weather.
o The ability to move quickly across campus on uneven terrain.

o The continuous requirement for professional demeanor and appropriate camp staff attire at all
times.
