    We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Community Manager to take on a standout multifamily luxury high-rise building in the heart of downtown Chicago.

    WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU

    To fully lead and support our community's property management operations. We need an encouraging and hands-on person to step in when necessary, complete projects, and to motivate our people.

    We own and manage our property and we want to find the best Community Manager who will align with our values. Our ideal Community Manager is going to be someone who can lead both the leasing office and building operations teams while partnering with our District & Regional Managers to ensure the community is a wonderful place to live for years to come.

    A few of your responsibilities:

    • Understand your property - as a community for residents and as a financial asset. You'll prepare your annual budget and create monthly financial reports as well as work alongside your team to fulfill the community's leasing potential.
    • Show our residents we C.A.R.E - as Community Manager you'll be a primary contact to respond and resolve escalated resident complaints. We need you to be creative and empathetic to build and foster positive relationships at all levels.
    • Keep us on track - you'll be responsible to review and audit resident files as needed to ensure accuracy; we're counting on you to assess and address any need for training to support your onsite leasing team so we're meeting company standards.
    • Be a proactive team leader! You'll set the tone and direction for onsite team members and we're counting on you to set and help them meet their goals.
    • Know your property! We ask that you physically walk and inspect the property to ensure the quality of market-ready apartments, our common areas, and luxury amenities. Your informed input will be critical in any future repositioning and redevelopment plans.

    Morguard trusts the incumbent to lead by example and to set the standard for responsibility and care shown to our residents. Our Leasing Office is accessible to our residents; we open at 9:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM. We're also open each Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturdays. We ask that you be accessible to those hours and to be available to support your team on a weekend if necessary.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Property/Community Manager is required. This is a market rate property, a thorough understanding of leasing, operations, resident relations, as well as how to manage a large scale property with the NOI in mind is required.
    • Direct experience with Luxury High Rise community operations is required. Direct experience supporting complex assets with 250 units or more will contribute to your success in this role.
    • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's or Associates degree is ideal. Alternatively if you have 6-8 years of direct experience with Multi-family property management and the commensurate professional designation (CAM, ARM, CPM, etc.) then we would be happy to consider you.
    • Strong Marketing/Leasing experience and a thorough knowledge of all applicable Federal and State Fair Housing Laws.
    • Strong financial reporting, organization, and accounting skills; this role is requires thorough attention to detail.
    • Strong computer proficiency; this role needs a good familiarity with Entrata or Yardi, RentMaxizer pricing program, Excel, and Microsoft Word. Specific proficiency with Entrata or Yardi Voyager 7 reporting functions is ideal.
