  • Responsibilities

    We are urgently looking for Registered Nurses in NYC, Orange County, Dutchess County and Ulster County and parts of Connecticut to care for our patients with PICC dressing change and blood draws, IV fluids teachings or TPN teachings. The position requires you to travel to the patients location.

    You must be skilled at starting / stopping IVs if required, PICC Line dressing changes, Lab draws, skilled at trouble shooting and preventing adverse events, strong clinical thinker, recognizing when to call MD, 911, caring for IV pumps.

    Responsibilities (case by case basis)

    Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice

    Start IV hydration if ordered

    Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians

    Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, IVs etc.) and fill in patients’ charts

    Provide treatments according to physician’s orders using nursing standards of care.

    Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients

    Perform skilled nursing IVIG infusions and clinical tasks associated with patient infusion home care.

    Submits nursing progress notes including admission and assessments per policy in a timely manner.

    Prepares/compounds sterile admixtures per MD orders for immediate use when required

    Skills

    Proven one year experience as a registered nurse

    Excellent at starting IV’s, and administering injections

    Good personality

    Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

    Excellent knowledge of emergency care

    In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures COVID (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times

    A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Responsible, friendly and compassionate

    Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills

    Patient with excellent problem-solving skills

    BSN, ADN or other diploma from a nursing program

    Valid nursing license in CT or NY

    BLS / CPR

    Own transportation

    Clean and valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
