Youth Soccer Instructors Needed for Children Ages 2-10
Majority of classes are 2-5 years old
We operate in daycares, preschools, elementary schools, community centers, and parks across Long Beach and Southeast LA. This position requires frequent travel and reliable transportation. Starting compensation is between $20-$22 per session based on experience and we offer growth potential within the company. There is some flexibility in scheduling; meaning that if there are some morning or afternoons where you aren’t available, we can work around that. However, once your schedule is set with us, it won’t change. You’ll be at the same locations at the same times each week, and we need you to be committed for the entire season. The ideal candidate at this time would be available weekdays 8am-6pm, as well as Saturday mornings. One could expect to have 7-10 sessions per week with this availability; perfect for someone who is looking for supplemental income or just part-time work. Weekday morning shifts are also available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Coaching: Operate under the supervision of Soccer Shots LB Leadership and Coaching Coordinator. Responsible for coaching up to 25 Soccer Shots sessions per week. Each session ranges in length from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Responsible for running or assisting with Free Fun Day sessions at schools and/or public park locations. •Communication: Effectively communicate with child's support system (school, teachers, guardians) about progress and behaviors in class. Responsible for making bi-weekly phone calls to families, sharing incident reports, player of the week, reschedules for weather related cancellations, etc.
•Staff Development: Support the team with facilitating sessions at schools and public parks where other coaches may be training. Encourage, train, and evaluate new coaches. Continue to strengthen the SSLB culture by building relationships and setting a good example for other coaches. Assist with preparation for coaches meetings. •Curriculum Review: Responsible for having a thorough knowledge of the Soccer Shots curriculum. •Community Outreach/Public Relations: When needed, represent Soccer Shots LB at community events such as open houses, back to school nights, festivals, and other special events. •Marketing: Expected to help grow class enrollments to a minimum of 8 students. Partake in seasonal marketing efforts including distribution of marketing flyers and yard signs. Expected to help with tables and other marketing tasks when necessary. •Miscellaneous: Coaches should also be willing to perform other duties as requested in order to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
