    About D1 Training North Shore

At D1 Training North Shore, we train like athletes — because everyone deserves to perform at their best.

We're a performance facility in Glenview built around purposeful programming and world-class coaching. Our members include youth athletes, adults, and competitive teams who show up ready to work. Our coaches make sure that work pays off.

Our mission: You pick the goal. We help you get there.

    The Role

We're looking for a morning Performance Coach to lead our early training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This is a part-time role built around a consistent, high-energy schedule — ideal for a coach who wants dedicated hours, a motivated group, and the freedom to do what they do best.

The 5:30 AM crowd is a specific kind of athlete. They're disciplined, self-motivated, and they chose the hardest time slot on purpose. Your job is to match their energy, deliver a great session every time, and make them glad they set the alarm.

The right person for this role is technically sharp, naturally motivating, and takes real pride in the quality of every session they run — regardless of how early it starts.

    Schedule

Tuesday and Thursday: 5:30 AM class

Additional hours available throughout the day and evening

    Part-time with potential to expand

    What You'll Do

Lead the 5:30 AM group training session with structure, energy, and intention

Deliver programming focused on strength, speed, agility, and conditioning

Modify workouts in real time based on athlete fitness levels and movement quality

Teach proper technique and hold athletes accountable to form and effort

Build genuine relationships with members and track their progress over time

Keep sessions running on time and on brand — every single morning

Represent D1 North Shore with professionalism before, during, and after each session

    Qualifications

NCCA-accredited certification preferred (NASM, NSCA-CSCS, ACE, ACSM, or equivalent)

    Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification required

Minimum one year of coaching experience in strength and conditioning, group training, or personal training

Athletic background — collegiate, high school competitive, or equivalent — strongly preferred

Early morning availability is a must; reliability is non-negotiable

Energetic, coachable, and genuinely great with people of all ages and ability levels

    Compensation & Perks

$25–$45 per hour based on class enrollment and/or class type

Free D1 Training membership — use the facility on your own time
