JOB SUMMARY

Assistant Account Managers handle multifaceted clerical and administrative tasks for Account Managers and Sales Executives, and are constantly helping to coordinate a high-volume workload within a deadline-driven environment. Assistants have an unwavering commitment to customer service as they are regularly entrusted with a book of business shared with an Account Manager. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide quality internal customer service to peers by maintaining relationships, managing expectations and professional communication that is friendly, timely and clear.
• Provide quality external customer service (clients and insurance carriers) by maintaining relationships, managing expectations, and professional communication that is friendly, timely and clear.
• Manage the renewal process by applying knowledge, solving problems and communicating.
• Execute service requests such as policy/billing research, payments, proofs of insurance and endorsement requests.
• Maintain client files with excellent documentation and organization of data

QUALIFICATIONS

High school degree

Proficient in software applications commonly used in an office environment as well as ability to learn new applications.

General understanding of the Independent Insurance Agency system is expected; familiarity with Commercial Lines operations is helpful.

Current California Fire & Casualty license, or required within one year of becoming an Assistant Account Manager.

Reliable transportation with current auto insurance is necessary for occasional client meetings, continuing education, and/or professional development courses.
