Are you an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer looking for their next challenge? Do you want to help build the next generation Internet of Things (IoT) devices powered by Morse Micro's IEEE 802.11ah (Wi-Fi HaLow) chips? You will join the Systems Team and be responsible for developing firmware for new and existing features of our SoC. You will work closely with our partners in Australia and help prepare Morse Micro's 802.11ah chips to be integrated into a range of high-end IoT products. You will interact daily with the Systems and DVT teams in Sydney.

This position is located in Irvine, CA and will start immediately.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering. Master's degree is preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Develop and maintain embedded code for new and existing features and products
• Develop and maintain wireless communication APIs
• Embedded microcontroller programming pertaining to control of embedded hardware devices
• Debug embedded firmware
• Develop test code and firmware test plans to validate functionality

ESSENTIAL SKILLS (YOU MUST HAVE THESE SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED):

• Real-time embedded programming in C
• implementation of complex algorithms on an embedded processor in a low level programming language
• Understanding of wireless communication standards
• Understanding of embedded operating systems
• Familiarity with embedded processors and microcontrollers

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS (KEY SKILLS THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE 70% OF):

• Understanding of Wi-Fi standards
• Understanding of wireless systems' radio and PHY architecture. Particularly OFDM systems
• Ability to debug cross-layer problems
