MORTGAGE DOG RECRUITING (http://www.Mortgage.Dog) is seeking to recruit a REMOTE MORTGAGE LOAN UNDERWRITER for one of its premier clients. A MORTGAGE LOAN UNDERWRITER is responsible for upholding the company's commitment to its borrowers, maintaining a high standard in customer service, and professional ethics. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience in mortgage loan underwriting
• Knowledge of mortgage regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Thorough understanding of credit and an ability to review complex financial documents
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and handle high work volumes
• Capacity to work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to deliver difficult messages with accuracy and confidence
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment, while practicing sound lending judgment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Underwriting of Conventional mortgage loans
• Maintain satisfactory production levels while maintaining file quality
• Responsible for setting and clearing loan conditions on files according to investor guidelines and within established company policies and procedures
• Must be able to work overtime as required
• Other duties as assigned

COMPENSATION: SALARY + BONUSES + 401k + HEALTH BENEFITS **NOTE: Compensation is commensurate with a candidate’s prior work experience, production numbers, etc.
