This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled Loan Partner / Pre-Approval Specialist who brings a strong mix of guideline knowledge, processing experience, and client communication skills within the broker model. In this role, you will act as the backbone of the originator, helping create a seamless and exceptional borrower experience from first contact to closing. You will work directly with borrowers to deliver a referable client experience through proactive, clear, and accurate communication. Your focus will be on managing the client journey from initial contact through pre-approval and contract, while coordinating closely with our contract processing team, who will handle the loan from contract to close. This role exists to support the originator so they can focus on what they do best—originating new loans and growing the pipeline. Key Responsibilities • Manage borrower communication from initial inquiry through contract • Review credit, income, and asset documentation to structure loan scenarios • Issue accurate pre-approvals and loan strategies • Prepare and organize loan files for submission to the contract processing team • Track contract timelines and ensure milestones are met • Communicate with borrowers, realtors, and team members to maintain a smooth transaction • Support lead conversion and create a high-touch client experience that drives referrals Responsibilities: • Provide administrative support such as screening and making calls, booking appointments, etc. • Be the primary liaison between the mortgage loan officer and our clients and schedule meetings to discuss outstanding items • Establish relationships with referral partners and borrowers • Facilitate the completion of loan applications (digital/phone/in-person). • Help gather and prepare all documents needed for underwriting requirements • Structure loan files based on specified parameters (running DU/LP, sending closing cost worksheets, etc) • Quote rates (when necessary) • Be the main point of contact for borrowers during the "contact to contract" phase of the loan process (Processor handles "contract to close" duties on LIVE files) • Submit detailed and accurate application packages directly to underwriting for upfront TBD approvals • Current on mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) procedures and documentation • Create ways to communicate daily with Sr. Loan Officers, Processors, Operations staff, Realtors, etc • Put out loan "fires" whenever possible • Be a sponge for information/knowledge, always striving to be the best possible at your position. • Be a leader, helping us improve our processes and procedures to always deliver a world-class experience to clients and referral partners Qualifications: • At least 2-3 years of professional office environment required, preferably as an administrative or mortgage assistant • Proficiency in MS Office required; CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred • Understand basic loan financing options such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, commercial loans, etc. • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills • Must have a current working knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA/Non-QM) and knowledge of mortgage procedures, processes, and documentation • Know how to analyze credit reports, income, and asset documents, as well as general ways to structure a loan • Knowledge of DU and LP • NMLS licensed (Will need Idaho state license) • If not licensed, must be willing and able to get licensed within 90 days • Minimum 2 years of mortgage experience, 5+ preferred • Current or previous experience fulfilling the roles of LOA/Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer, and/or Underwriter • Excellent time management • Highly motivated and goal-oriented • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have outstanding follow-up skills • Broker experience working with Arive Compensation: $42,000 - $90,000 yearly
