We're searching for a detail-oriented mortgage loan officer assistant. This position will play a vital part in communicating with referral partners, current and past clients, real estate agents, and other key stakeholders to nurture relationships and develop new business. A primary function of this role is to work from lead to contract in the pre-approval process and to ensure loan officers' leads and referral sources are receiving the lending experience you'll love on a timely basis. You will facilitate the completion of real estate loan applications, collect, analyze, and review supporting loan documentation in accordance with loan guidelines, and provide support throughout the loan application process. Responsibilities: • Answer questions about transactions for clients and company employees to help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction • Serve as the primary contact and liaison between clients, branch manager, and assigned loan originator and conduct meetings to coordinate any follow-up items • Coordinate and prepare documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork • Provide administrative support such as screening and making calls, booking appointments, etc. • Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the loan originator • Analyze income, credit, and assets, and perform complex income analysis calculations • Interact with referral partners and clients to obtain all needed information to pre-approve clients for the correct loan • Issue reliable pre-approvals • Interact with sales and operations to ensure smooth handoff of loan files Qualifications: • Preferred degree in banking or finance, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required • Although not required, having an NMLS license or training is preferred • Excellent customer service and communication skills and willing to go above and beyond for customers and team • Min 2 years experience pre-approving mortgage loans as an LO or LOA with a deep understanding of Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, and Non-QM loan underwriting guidelines. • Experience using Encompass Compensation: $65000 - $80000 yearly
