We're hiring a Front-End Loan Partner | Pre-approval Specialist to own the pre-approval process from application to consultation. This is a hybrid role that combines the analytical precision of mortgage processing with direct client communication. You'll be the person who moves borrowers from "I think I want to buy" to "I'm approved and ready to shop." Responsibilities: • Review new loan applications and identify missing documentation • Pull and analyze credit reports; review for derogatory history, collections, and qualifying factors • Collect and organize income, asset, and employment documents (pay stubs, W-2s, bank statements, tax returns) • Order VOEs, VORs, and credit supplements as needed • Run DU/LP and interpret automated underwriting findings • Schedule initial loan consultations between borrowers and the loan officer • Issue preapproval letters and send the full preapproval package upon approval • Submit loans for TBD underwriting when applicable • Refer borrowers with credit challenges to our credit repair partner • Communicate proactively with borrowers, real estate agents, and referral partners throughout the preapproval process • Support new contract intake. Request disclosure packages, coordinate file-into-processing handoffs Qualifications: • Prior experience in mortgage processing, loan origination, or as a loan officer assistant IS required • Working knowledge of DU/LP, income analysis, and mortgage document review • Ability to read and interpret credit reports and identify qualifying and disqualifying factors • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be client-facing • Highly detail-oriented with a process-driven approach to file management • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously without letting things slip • Experience with Encompass or a comparable LOS strongly preferred • NMLS license preferred; if unlicensed, must be willing to obtain within 9 months of hire • Self-starter who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be told what to do next • Professional, dependable, and coachable.
