    As a fast-growing mortgage brokerage based in Charlotte, NC, we’re looking for a Mortgage Operations Specialist who is detail-oriented, proactive, and hungry to grow.     About the Role As a Mortgage Operations Specialist, you’ll be the engine that helps keep our loan pipeline running smoothly. From opening new files to ordering third-party services and reviewing documentation, your work will directly support our loan officers and processors—and ultimately help get clients to the closing table faster.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Accurately open and enter new loan files into the loan origination system (LOS)

    Review applications and documents for completeness and compliance before processing begins

    Order and follow up on third-party services, including:

    Title reports

    Appraisals

    Homeowners insurance

    Payoff statements

    Verifications of employment (VOEs)

    Proactively communicate with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and vendors to keep files on track

    Maintain up-to-date records in our LOS and ensure timely upload of all documentation

    Help resolve outstanding items quickly and accurately to avoid delays

    Learn and apply mortgage guidelines, compliance standards, and internal workflows to support clean, efficient files

    Identify opportunities to improve workflows and contribute to a culture of operational excellence

    What We're Looking For:

    1+ years of mortgage operations or processing experience preferred (but not required—we’ll train the right person)

    Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail

    Interest in learning and growing within the mortgage industry

    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Comfortable communicating with team members and external partners

    Familiarity with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass) is a plus

    A mindset focused on solutions, teamwork, and continuous improvement
