Responsibilities: • Review files for adherence to underwriting standards and ensure completeness of submission. • Contact the borrower and/or mortgage broker to collect necessary documentation and act as a liaison between origination staff, underwriters, and customers. Ensure the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of loan files. • Monitor the loan pipeline, manage escalations, and dates. • Monitor operational performance/metrics for the department to maximize productivity, efficiency, and compliance levels. • Build and maintain solid working relationships with Underwriters, Operational, and Sales staff to support the branch on loan production. • Provide recommendations for new and revised procedures to increase efficiencies and/or decrease errors. • Respond to escalated issues that cannot be resolved by teammates; assist with complex loans, provide support on scenarios/pre-qualifications when needed, etc. • Oversee achievement of standards, risk management, quality control, and adherence to policy and procedure. • Stay abreast of industry trends and changing regulations and guidelines related to the field of expertise; make recommendations for changes to policy, practice, and process accordingly. • Manage the Under Contract Process. Qualifications: • 3-5 years of mortgage experience. • Prior experience in a lead position preferred. • An active state-specific NMLS license is required. • Expert-level knowledge of the mortgage business, including overall mortgage lending processes and internal controls, as well as federal, state, and regulatory requirements/guidelines; valid documentation related to processing mortgage applications. • Ability to manage multiple priorities; strong detail orientation and highly organized. • Works with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness. • Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service. • Demonstrated patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers. • Proficiency with data entry, PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. • Intermediate math skills. • Ethical, with a commitment to company values. Compensation: $80,000+ yearly DOE
