POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Programmer designs and implements information systems that optimize organizational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employs modeling information engineering and cost-based accounting to develop a system that satisfies both management and end users in the most cost effective and efficient way possible
- Oversees its implementation by managing programmers, coders and equipment vendors to ensure the design is properly executed in a timely manner and stays within the budget. ·
- Debugs the system and ensures that it is error free
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Must combine strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with project management skills
- Work experience as a Python Programmer ·
- Expertise in at least one popular Python framework ·
- Writing efficient, reusable, testable and scalable code
- Understanding, analyzing and implementing – Business needs
- Testing and debugging software applications with Python test framework tools
- Enhancing the functionalities of current software systems
- Integrating data storage solutions
- Reprogramming existing databases to improve functionality
- Developing digital tools to monitor online traffic
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required
- Keeping abreast with the latest technology and trends
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors’ Degree Computer Science or related field
- Experienced writing code
- Minimum 3-years’ experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primary work is in office setting environment
