Human Resources Business Partner
Summary:
The HR Business Partner will work directly with the Director of Human Resources to oversee human resources operations and ensure they’re aligned with business goals. The HR Business Partner will provide guidance and recommendations with regard to talent management, compliance with federal, state, and local laws, performance management, and employee relations. Additionally, the HR Business Partner is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with business leaders to systematically drive performance excellence, strategic planning, and organizational design solutions and initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee human resources operations within the assigned business unit
Anticipate potential issues and needs to proactively shape talent priorities to align to business strategy
Develop and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results in line with the mission and core values
Maintain awareness and knowledge of state and federal employment laws and practices, as well as internal policies/procedures, and provides suitable interpretation to management and employees
Partner with management to ensure annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management, benefits enrollment, etc.
Be the go-to person for employee-related questions for the assigned business units in all areas including local office policies, procedures, systems, benefits, compensation, leaves of absence, etc.
Build and maintain partnerships and solid working relationships with management and employees at all levels
Develop and maintain a plan/schedule for on-site visits with business partners
Conduct on-site visits according to schedule and communicate outcomes
Provide guidance, recommendations, and assistance with disciplinary actions, including performance improvement plans, and employee warnings as needed
Actively participate and collaborate with hiring managers on talent acquisitions to ensure efficient turn-around activity and retention initiatives
Provide day-to-day coaching to managers on a variety of actions including employee relations issues and policy interpretation
Partner with management to identify areas for improvement and then develop and deliver training accordingly
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies
Assist with HR-related education/training, communication, and awareness efforts and support implementation and training for new HR programs, policies, and initiatives
Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization including but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors' names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business-related field or equivalent experience.
Experience
Minimum of six (6) years experience in human resources with at least two (2) years of experience in management and/or HR Business Partner experience.
License and Credentials
Reliable transportation
Valid driver license
Valid vehicle insurance
SPHR/PHR preferred
