Mosquito Hunters is a quickly-growing pest control company that helps homeowners take back their yards from mosquitoes, fleas and ticks!

We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable self-starters with an interest in marketing. No previous marketing experience is required, but a friendly demeanor, experience with social media systems and a desire to learn are musts. A majority of the work will be outdoors, so have comfortable shoes and be ready to get plenty of steps in!Hours: 8-20 hours per week, depending upon your availability.

Below are the three main focuses for a successful marketing intern:

Guerilla Marketing

Guerilla marketing is the blanket term we use for any other ways we can get you to reach potential customers. This could include door-to-door, clover-leafing, parking the van, or even riding the van in a parade. The opportunities are endless and we encourage all employees to think outside the box. This is the part of your job with the most autonomy and opportunity to contribute – be creative in ways to get the van, Gunter (our mascot) or marketing materials in front of a lot of eyes!

Community Events

We need to get out into the Corpus Christi community as soon as possible in order to establish brand awareness and personal relationships. Mosquito Hunters and you will research local home and garden shows together as well any other local community events that may give you an opportunity to get to know members of the community, build the brand and promote our products & services to gather leads & sales for the business. When we attend these events together, your responsibility will be to either hand out marketing materials or wear the Gunter mascot costume!

Social Media

Given the overwhelming popularity social media has, it is a necessary means of advertising for new franchisees. New franchisees are set up with a personalized Facebook page and Facebook advertising targeted to specific demographics in their area. Your help will be needed to generate content for one or multiple social media pages and the development and maintenance of the postings schedule.

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
