Mosquito Hunters is looking for enthusiastic, dependable self-starters with an interest in marketing. No previous marketing experience is required, but a friendly demeanor and a desire to learn are musts.

Below are the main focuses for a successful marketing intern:

Guerilla Marketing

This Guerilla marketing is the blanket term we use for any ways we can get you to reach potential customers. This includes putting out door hangers, yard signs, park & waves (wearing the mascot uniform), parking the van in high-traffic areas, or even riding the van in a parade. The opportunities are endless and we encourage all employees to think outside the box. This is the part of your job with the most autonomy and opportunity to contribute – be creative in ways to get the van, Gunter (our mascot) or marketing materials in front of a lot of eyes!

Community Events

We need to get out into the North Shore community as soon as possible in order to establish brand awareness and personal relationships. We will be adopting a highway this year and need help in coordinating clean-ups four times a year. We will also research other community events that may give us an opportunity to get to know members of the community, build the brand and promote our products & services to gather leads & sales for the business. When we attend these events together, your responsibility will be to either hand out marketing materials or wear the Gunter mascot costume!

Social Media

Given the overwhelming popularity social media has, it is a necessary means of advertising for Mosquito Hunters. Each franchise is set up with a personalized Facebook page and Facebook advertising targeted to specific demographics in the area. Your help will be needed to generate content for one or multiple social media pages and the development and maintenance of the postings schedule.Other ResponsibilitiesOther administrative tasks as needed.
