    Job Description

    The Licensed Pesticide Applicator, who must maintain a current and valid Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator License, will directly service customers, help train technicians, and ensure our compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, as well as the rules detailed on pesticide labels.

    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    Have and maintain a valid Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator License

    Provide expert advice to staff, technicians, and customers on outdoor pest control

    Develop and maintain outstanding customer protocols and relationships

    Assist in training field technicians

    Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks and other outdoor pests at customers' properties

    Thoroughly explain to customer the expectations for services and our procedures

    Walk customers’ properties while carrying equipment weighing over 60lbs. for long periods of time in hot weather

    Maintain chemical and operational records in accordance with the commonwealth and Mosquito Joe requirements

    Handle pesticides in a safe manner in accordance with label, and state and federal regulations

    Oversee and maintain well-organized, functioning, and clean company vehicles and equipment

    Follow driving instructions to customers' properties throughout our territory

    Flexibility, including understanding and accepting the weather implications on work schedules and service delivery

    Participate in staff meetings

    Knowledgeable and willing to market Mosquito Joe services

    Education and Experience

    Current and valid Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator License required

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

    High school diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), or equivalent required. Some college preferred

    Comfortable with numbers and knowledge of basic mathematical operations

    Pest-control knowledge and experience

    Customer-service experience required, supervisory experience a plus

    Competent mobile-computer skills including working with tablets, smartphones, WiFi, and GPS
