Position Overview

We are currently seeking a seasonal Mosquito Control Technician to provide mosquito control services to residential and commercial customers, repelling and killing outdoor pests such as mosquitoes, fleas and ticks. Our technicians travel to customer homes to apply barrier spray solutions that keep their yard mosquito free for 21 days, taking great pride in customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks and other outdoor pests for the residential and commercial customers properties

Communicate with customers by setting expectations and walking them through the process to guarantee exceptional customer service.

Maintain good customer relationships

Maintain chemical and operational records in accordance with state requirements

Maintain state licensing requirements

Maintain clean and well-organized service vehicles

Handle pesticides in safe manner in accordance with state and federal regulations

Complete pesticide certification requirements and complete continuing education requirements

Able to walk customer property while carrying equipment weight over 60lbs. for long periods of time in warm temperatures

Operate a company vehicle safely

Document inspections and recommendations clearly

Required Attributes

Must possess a valid state Driver's License with a safe driving record

Valid and current certification/license as required by the state for the commercial application of pesticides (may also qualify to complete the certification/licensing program during initial training)

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work effectively with limited supervision

Strong customer service skills

Lift and carry over 60lbs.

Willingness and ability to work flexible hours

Willing to market the Mosquito Joe service

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required

1 year of experience preferred

Technicians license preferred
