    Job Description

    HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST | JOIN THE MOSSER TEAM!

    Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and ready to join a top-notch team?  Mosser Companies has an immediate opening for an HR Generalist to look out for the best interest of our employees and our company.

    As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist will work closely with the Vice President of HR providing support to all Mosser Companies employees and managers in San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles.  This HR Generalist role covers on-boarding, performance management, benefits support, and employee relations. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide guidance to employees and managers on company policy and procedures
    • Coach managers through performance and/or disciplinary actions
    • Resolve employee relations issues
    • Conduct investigations of employee complaints
    • Prepare investigation reports and recommendations
    • Ensure a positive on-boarding experience
    • Conduct new hire orientations, online and in-person
    • Guide new hire employees through benefits enrollment 
    • Manage training software and oversee training compliance
    • Handle all separations of employment
    • Conduct exit interviews
    • Review exit surveys and analyze/report trends and critical findings
    • Conduct all HR administration for employee separations
    • Oversee silent witness reporting
    • Provide HR compliance training to managers
    • Collaborate with other HR team members
    • Review and distribute HR department mail
    • Oversee HR department email account

    EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5 years’ experience working in Human Resources
    • 2 years’ experience handling Employee Relations matters
    • Current knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment compliance laws
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills 
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
    • Bi-lingual Spanish communications skills a plus
    • Ability to adapt to a wide variety of workplaces environments in San Francisco
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
    • Proficient conducting online meetings (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.)
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, desired
    • Professional certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred
    • Ability to work both on-site and remote WFH as needed
    • Reliable transportation to visit various work locations
