    At Riverbend Hotel and Cabins, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on General Manager to oversee operations at our independently run hotel located in the heart of Helen, GA—a charming Bavarian-style mountain town known for its scenic riverfront, tourism events, and walkable village atmosphere. Our property sits right on the river and operates with a close-knit team. We value collaboration, accountability, and exceptional guest service.

    Key Responsibilities

    Direct daily operational management of front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.

    Lead, train, schedule, and support staff to maintain high service and cleanliness standards.

    Manage budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and revenue performance.

    Oversee reservations and OTA channels and utilize property management systems effectively.

    Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure positive experiences and reviews.

    Maintain regulatory compliance, safety standards, and property upkeep.

    Implement strategies to increase occupancy, guest satisfaction, and repeat business.

    Qualifications

    Prior hotel or motel management experience required.

    Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach.

    Experience with PMS, OTA platforms, and basic accounting or financial oversight.

    Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

    Reliable transportation required. This position is not live-in or on-site housing supported.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Competitive salary based on experience

    Performance-based yearly bonus potential

    Schedule

    Full-time, on-site management role (no remote work)

    Five-day work week, Monday–Sunday scheduling rotation

    Regular office hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    Occasional, infrequent on-call availability for urgent after-hours questions

    May need to step in and cover operational duties if staffing coverage is unavailable
