Our growing auto body shop seeks a mechanic to join our talented team of auto mechanics and service technicians. The ideal candidate should be comfortable assessing vehicle components ranging from electronic systems to air conditioning units. Responsibilities: Source and remediate mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's mechanical systems, electrical system, and electronic systems Ensure accurate record-keeping for vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service history Inspect, test drive, and perform diagnostic tests to determine vehicle problems, parts needed for repairs, and necessary work Collaborate with supervisors and fellow auto mechanics to diagnose and repair vehicles’ mechanical issues Pursue continued education opportunities to grow technical skills Qualifications: Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are necessary Required state-issued driver’s license Associate’s degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonus High school diploma or GED equivalent required Strong manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools and other repair shop equipment is necessary Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly yearly
