    Coil Winder – Brushless DC Motor Manufacturing

    (Fairlawn, VA)

    Pay: $17 an hour

    We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Coil Winder to join a precision manufacturing team producing high-performance brushless DC motors used in advanced motion control applications.

    These motors are engineered for high power density, smooth operation, and exceptional reliability, requiring precise coil winding techniques to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and durability.

    This role is ideal for individuals who excel in focused, hands-on work and take pride in precision and consistency.

     

    Schedule & Pay

    • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    • Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

    • Environment: Quiet, clean, low-distraction workspace

    • Work Style: Primarily independent work

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Wind copper coils onto motor stators and components for frameless, partially housed, and fully housed brushless DC motors

    • Follow detailed specifications to support motors designed for high acceleration, high speed (up to 100,000 RPM), and high torque applications

    • Ensure proper coil tension, alignment, and placement to meet strict performance and efficiency standards

    • Perform visual and manual inspections to ensure precision and quality control

    • Maintain consistency to support low torque ripple and high precision speed control

    • Follow diagrams, work instructions, and engineering specifications

    • Maintain a clean and organized workstation

    • Adhere to all safety and production guidelines

     

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

    • Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills

    • Excellent attention to detail and precision

    • Ability to work independently in a quiet environment

    • Comfortable performing repetitive, high-precision tasks

    • Ability to follow technical instructions, diagrams, and measurements

     

    Prior experience in:

    • Small parts assembly

    • Electronics manufacturing

    • Coil winding or motor assembly

     

    Additional Requirements (Government Contract)

    • Must be able to pass a background check (Government Contract)

    • Must be able to pass drug screen (THC not permitted).

    • Must be eligible to work in the United States
