Job Description

We are seeking a Contracts and Finance Analyst to assist with the monitoring, reporting, and forecasting of financial metrics for a San Diego based Government Contracting firm. This role will report directly to the Contracts & Finance Manager in a small office environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce monthly reporting packages and briefs after the accounting department has finished its financial close.
• Create and change project set up features as needed
• Attend project set up meetings to help determine how new contracts should be set up within the Accounting System
• Track actual results against the Contract Cost Estimate and forecast. Investigate any significant variances. Assist in the preparation of updates to the plan using actuals.
• Calculate contract de-obligations for submission
• Prepare and distribute weekly progress status reports to Project Managers
• Prepare Quarterly Estimated Actual Costs reports
• Review, approve, and assist in the preparation of customer invoices
• Maintain and update contract workforces
• Prepare quotes using employee rosted
• Review contracts and modifications to make sure they are correct for set up

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or similar field
• 3-6 years financial analysis experience
• Must be proficient in Government Cost Accounting
• Must have advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables
• Active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
